Art Deco Period Parisian Perfume Curio

Description

This wonderful Parisian perfume curio was designed by Joly & Co., 100 Rue de Roquette, Paris in the Art Deco period. This rare cabinet has a solid bronze frame, curved glass side panels, a bonnet of four curved textured & frosted glass panels & a mirrored interior. Two movable braces support two thick glass shelves. Additionally, the display curio has support brace hooks attached to the top for the option of mounting against a wall. The hinged door features a safety lock mechanism for secure closure. Close inspection reveals that the right sided bonnet panels are slightly less polished than those on the left side. The texture & design are identical. I suspect it possible that either side may have been replaced in the 1930s. A rare & wonderful collectors’ item to showcase a perfume bottle collection in an original Art Deco Parisian perfume curio.
